Effective August 6, 2026
Speech Expedition is run by Patrick Franklin Pike, a sole proprietor in California. This policy explains what the site collects and what happens to it. The short version: very little, and none of it from students.
Waitlist email addresses. If you join the waitlist, I store the email address you enter, the date, which page you submitted from, and whether you checked the box to receive occasional updates. That's the whole record.
Payment information, once memberships open. Payments will be processed by Stripe. Stripe handles card details directly — I never see or store your card number. I'll have your email address, subscription status, and billing history.
Access codes. When you redeem a code for an individual mission, the site records that the code was redeemed. Codes aren't tied to your identity.
Standard server logs. The site is hosted on Netlify, which keeps ordinary web server logs including IP addresses. This is normal hosting infrastructure and I don't use those logs to build any profile of you.
I don't collect anything from students. Students don't have accounts, don't log in, and don't enter personal information anywhere in the app.
I don't record, store, or transmit student audio. The app doesn't use a microphone.
I don't sell, rent, or trade anyone's information, and I don't use advertising trackers or third-party advertising pixels.
Waitlist emails are used to tell you when membership opens, and — if you checked the consent box — to send occasional updates about Speech Expedition. Nothing else. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
Member email addresses are used for billing, account matters, and important notices about the service.
Three companies, each doing a specific job:
Each has its own privacy policy. I don't share your information with anyone beyond what these services need to function, except where the law requires it.
Speech Expedition uses only what it needs to work — for example, remembering that you've redeemed a code so you don't have to enter it again. It doesn't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Waitlist entries are kept until membership opens or until you ask me to remove yours. Member records are kept while your membership is active and for a reasonable period afterward for tax and accounting purposes.
Email me at support@speechexpedition.com and I'll tell you what I have about you, correct it, or delete it. If you're in California, the CCPA gives you these rights formally; I'll honor the same requests from anyone who asks, wherever you are.
To stop receiving updates, use the unsubscribe link in any email or write to me.
Speech Expedition is bought and managed by adults. It isn't directed at children as customers, and it doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through the site, email me and I'll delete it.
If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top and note significant changes on the site.
